Work Package 2-Requirements, System Concept, Interfaces, Standardisation

WP2 aims to develop a system concept for a variety of in-building networks . This includes a flexible reference architecture with all important network elements and open interfaces, to be introduced into ongoing standardisation. Main steps are

• Analyzing applications in medical, industrial, office, and home scenarios, identifying requirements for mobile access, transport network, and network management.
• Developing a reference architecture with all network elements (5G core network, FttH, FttR, Ethernet, WLAN, LiFi). Defining the functional blocks and open interfaces.
• Interfacing to international bodies (conferences, journals, magazines ITU, Homegrid Forum, Broadband Forum, IEEE 802, Wi-Fi Alliance, IGNB, 3GPP) to anchor the developed concepts and interfaces in future standards.
